Montefibre is the European leader in the production of polyester fibre, being on the market since 1957 with the Terital® brand name.

Terital® is produced in the Acerra plant, near Napoli, where is also located the Polyester Research Centre, responsible for the Engineering, Research and Development of new products and applications.

For Montefibre the main target is to develop and maintain up to date his offer of products and services, according with the needs of a continuously changing market.

Today the Terital® brand name identifies a comprehensive range of products, able to meet any requirement of the leaders operators in the textile and nonwoven industry.

Montefibre's polyester product range includes polymers and staples, both row and mass dyed, for any end uses, in a variety of industrial sectors: from apparel to furnishing, from automotive to geotextiles, up to medical and hygienic applications.

In addition to commodities, Montefibre offers specialities like flame retardant fibres (Fidion FR), bioactive fibres (Terital® Saniwear) and cationic dyeable fibres.

Montefibre's Quality System is now certified according ISO 9002, and, within 2002, the certification will be upgraded to ISO 9001 (2000 edition); in addition, the environmental certification ISO 14001 is on progress.
